2nd Annual OKC Thunder Media Awards

This is the second year I’ve done this. I try to be highly objective in my critiques of the various outlets which cover the Thunder. I have only one category…The Big Boy Britches Category. Unlike the Oscars—I don’t waste three hours getting to the point.

  1. Mike Jackson okcthunderground.com
  2. Berry Tramel The Oklahoman
  3. Jim Traber Sports Animal
  4. Glenda Independent blogger
  5. Dusty D Sports Animal
  6. Erik Horne The Athletic
  7. Mark Rodgers Sports Animal
  8. Maddie Lee The Oklahoman
  9. Johnny Thunder Daily Thunder
  10. Justin Independent blogger

Keep up the great work. I enjoy your work and please fight for all First Amendment rights every day just like I do. MJ

  1. Just leting you know i recently stumble upon your blog and… congrats my man!
It does look like you love the team, witch is the most important thing in the end… Keep up the good work!

  2. Thanks so much for the kind comment. I’m very passionate about the Thunder…it’s why I started the blog in the first place. I know I get carried away with myself on the politics, but I’m a passionate person. I believe in things. I always wanted to be Leon Panetta. We’re both Italian.

    1. Lol that’s actually good! Don’t really want to fall into politics myself, but following or writing about sports in general must involve a healthy amount of passion!

BTW I don’t really mind a little bit of politics if that’s your thing, but I’m glad it’s generally only side comments if you know what I mean…

  3. Passion is everything in whatever human endeavor. Actually….I’m not all that political from an ideological view. My leanings are probably in line with what pundits used to call a John Lindsey Republican. Namely… a fiscal conservative with socially liberal views. That’s precisely what Mike Bloomberg is. Barack Obama is the only Democrat I’ve ever voted for in eleven presidential elections. I voted for him both times in spite of the fact I liked both John McCain and Mitt Romney.

You think John McCain or Mitt Romney would look pretty good this morning with the Dow poised to peel off another trillion in equity across the 401k board? I hope a lot of people converted to cash positions before Monday. That’s what’s happening…people converting to cash to not allow all of their profits from the past four years to evaporate into nothing.

I’d love to see who in Trump’s inner circle were playing the market short when it reached a historical high on February 16th. Michael Lewis is writing a book on this as I finish this post. I hope Clay Bennett wasn’t overly exposed market wise.

Anyway, thanks for posting. LET’S GO THUNDER! MJ
