Thunder Find A Way In Game 3, 119-107 OT

If Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the future franchise face of the Thunder then Lu Dort is the soul and heart of the team moving forward beyond Chris Paul.

I’ll get to Lu Dort later on down the page.

In one helluva basketball game… OKC’s Thunder finally got untracked and played like the team which beat the Boston Celtics in their last game played before the covid lockdown of the NBA.

It was a combination of Chris Paul finally getting untracked along with Dennis Schroder and SGA with Gallinari and Adams fulfilling their roles within the Thunder’s small ball lineups.

My MVP for the Thunder was Dennis Schroder because for this team to win games in this post season it’s fairly clear to me Schroder has to score points and make Chris Paul’s job easier. Dennis led the Thunder with 29 points and looked like the Sixth Man of the Year we in Oklahoma City saw before the covid lockdown.

Schroder, CP3, Gallanari, and SGA all scored twenty points or more in this game. Steven Adams did some things on the boards and will need to keep working on the boards if the Thunder are to get back in this series.

Now Lu Dort.

Without Lu Dort…the Thunder don’t win this basketball game. Terrance Ferguson and Andre Roberson never saw the floor and probably won’t again in this series unless Lu Dort gets injured.

In 36 minutes of play Lu Dort hounded James Harden into a 12-27 shooting performance. Dort also made the game’s biggest play in overtime when he drew James Harden into committing his sixth foul.

Lu Dort hounded James Harden and made the Beard work for every inch of space and time. Coach Sutton who had Tony Allen at O State would absolutely love the basketball soul of Lugentz Dort.

This was basically the ball game when Harden had to leave the floor. Finito…Mr. Beard. Lu Dort just dorted your ass.

Every successful team needs a Lu Dort or Nick Collison type. But in this day and age of the NBA when so much of the game is predicated on three point shooting a wing/guard type like Dort is an absolute must.

So the series now moves to Game 4 on Monday in a game the Thunder have to win if they legitimately want to win this series.

  1. Great game. I agree that getting Harden to foul out was KEY. Have to hope that RW stays on the sidelines for another few games.

Also thought the DNC was quite good, better than the usual live stuff. Much more focused and serious as they need to be when the country needs some real hope and leadership.

    Love,

  2. Aaron Gordon being awful was a key as well. Hopefully, Aaron Gordon shoots poorly and Dennis Schroder plays at this level the rest of the way.

I was part of a race fight last night at a 7-11. I was in line to get a drink at the end of the day. Dead tired. There were two lines of customers with about ten people total. This big fat ugly stupid white woman who appeared to be either high or drunk walks in front of me and says,” I’m cutting in front of you in line.”

I said, “The fuck you are. Get your big ugly fat ass in the back of the line and show some common courtesy to the people in line.”

She doesn’t move and keeps running her mouth while some black women behind me start getting on her verbally. I pay for my drink and then winked at the black women and said a few other things to this white woman. Somewthing like, “Could I get your number in case I’m ever in the mood for getting a blow job from a white trash Donald Trump supporter.”

She then says, ” Bruh…you’re not my type.”

I said, ” Yeah, I know…I can fucking read you ignorant stupid bitch.”

Two white guys at this point in the other line loved that and started laughing while the black women started moving towards the white woman.

I paid. Told her Donald Trump would be making her rich any day now and then the two black women got right in her face and were starting to grab her throat.

    The end.

  3. I’m very much starting to feel like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. I hate to admit this…but for a fleeting second there with this woman I thought of the OU football player Joe Mixon putting his fist into the face of a woman like this in a Norman bar. Bob would have had to come back to earth and get me out of jail then claim my temporary insanity was caused by this woman’s actions. He’d do the Alford plea. Google Joe Mixon punches woman in Norman bar. Hopefully…those two black women strangled her. That was like being at a bad youth hockey rink at the wrong time.
