Urban Meyer just became the fourth coach since the merger to not make it thru one season on his NFL head coaching contract. I think all of us knew this was doomed since the bar video in Columbus went viral.
But here’s the question I ponder aloud…since Donald Trump literally tried to have Mike Pence, his own sitting vice-president, hung on the grounds of our nation’s capitol who will replace Mike Pence on the Trump ticket in 2024?
What person out there seems to possess the complete lack of character and the abundance of grossness of personality which will attract the average Trump voter?
Don’t laugh.
Meyer won national championships at both Ohio State and Florida…which are of course both hotly contested swing states.
Both have gone viral with videos which seem to titilate evangelicals to turn out in record numbers.
Trump won over evangelical voters with his affinity for furniture stores and some of the things we never knew one could do there at closing time.
Meyer became college football’s Viagra poster boy along with Bobby Petrino.
Trump to his credit made Billy Bush a household name, while Urban Meyer in less than a season eviserated the memory that Jacksonville not all that long ago played in the AFC Championship Game.
Meyer called his own players and coaches losers.
Trump called every person serving in the military losers and chumps.
Both seem to posess the inane ability to bring out the absolute worst in humans all around them.
Urban Meyer didn’t make it thru a year, while Trump was almost impeached twice in his first term.
So as the talking heads ponder who will be Trump’s running mate in 2024…I’ll be the first to throw out the name Urban Meyer.
Trump-Meyer 2024…why not?
