Spencer Sanders Ready to Make a Heisman Run?

Well..I watched Joe Biden’s speech and O State’s 58-44 win over Central Michigan simultaneously.

As far as Biden…I’d give him a B for the speech. He said what he needed to say about the MAGA Proud Boy-Oathkeeper domestic terrorists. They are the the most dubious group ever assembled since the days of the 1860’s during the first Civil War.

It is what it is. I laughed when a GOP pundit on one of the racap shows said Biden was too tough on them and should have beee more inclusive. Inclusive…don’t make me laugh. Federal prison is where they should be if not already. What a group of punks enabled by the Kevin McCarthy and Lindsey Grahams of the GOP world.

As far as Spencer Sanders, he was great. He was the stud I’ve been waiting to see since his high school days in Denton, Texas where he won the Gatorade National Player of the Year his senior season.

I Bleed Crimson so I’ll clearly be covering the Sooners, the Warriors, and the defending NHL champion Colorado Avalance this season. But unless Spencer gets hurt….I’ll be re-delgating my sports viewing addicion to catch all of his games this season.

It will be easy…I’ll make that time by completely not watching the still tanking, feckless Thunder until we reach the conclusion of the bowl season.

Spencer threw for 406 yards and four TDS on Thursday night and was excellent in picking his running opportunities with two nifty running TDs as well.

This could be hyperbole, but when Spencer first came to State…I thought at some point he might have a Vince Young type of season in him. If he st ays healthy this could very well be that season.

He needs to have that type of season because O State’s defense without the six COVID seniors and coordinator Jim Knowles looks like most of those horrific defense of the Gundy era.

Namely…the Cowboys are going to have to keep the pedal down and score quite a few points to win games.

And in Spencer Sanders, Mike Gundy has just the right QB to do it.
