Nuggets Road Rout Thunder in Game 2, 140-127

Forget everything I blogged yesterday minus the question I would ask of Shai and Lu Dort in relation to being black Canadian men playing in the most radical extreme far right market in the NBA. An NBA which to be blunt, is a predominantly black sports league (players, agents and NBAPA) which strives to give the appearance of caring about some degree of social fairness and justice.

I’d love to do that podcast with Shai and Lu at some point. It would be the furthest thing in Oklahoma they’ve experienced from the ‘compromised’ sports media outlets in Oklahoma. I think they’d be pleasantly surprised by the overall feel of the podcast.

Clay Bennett, Sam Presti, and subservient Little Nick Gallo wouldn’t be asking the questions. Mike Jackson would be that person asking the questions in a very lawyerly manner. MJ can do that. MJ was trained in his earlier life to ask those questions like a lawyer.

As far as the game last night… HOLY SHIT. I am going to have take back everthing I wrote about the Thunder being a lock to easily makeitto the NBA Finals.

Coach Mark…you may have a problem, Supreme Super Challenge Dude…that being your team played like a collective group of soft pussies in the second half when they perhaps had a chance to put away the Denver Nuggets with a standing eight count from the first half.

I mean, yeah, J-Dub didn’t play in the second half. But Aaron Gordon and Julian Strawther didn’t play a solitary second in this game either, and this very objective NBA blogger rates Aaron as the third most valuable Nugget player behind Nicola, then Jamal, then perhaps just a smidge above Michael Porter Jr who has upgraded his play in a very positive way in the last two months.

And BTW…Coach Malone wanted to sit Nicola with the sore elbow, but Nicola would have none of that. He said, “This is a team deal. Jamal is playing hurt, everyone is hurt, my team needs me. I’m playing.”

That is champion MVP leadership. Shai has yt to travel that road.

Chet just so you know…when J-Dub went down you were supposed to elevate your play and become the second best Thunder player on the floor. Just so you know there was an NBA game last night at Paycom. This is where a real coach in a darkened corner of the locker room might suggest…toughen the fuck up and act like the second player taken in your draft class. Know what I mean?

It was the Denver Nuggets’ best night of this NBA season so far. Not even close. They let it be known there’s still some life and guys like Peyton Watson and Jalen Pickett could be much needed bench pieces as we veer towards April and the goal acheiving portion of the schedule.

Nicola went 35-18-8. Jamal scored 34 points on 22 shots with fellow Candian Lu Dort guarding him. Michael Porter Jr scored 17 points. Peyton Wastson scored 16 points and in my mind had his most impactful game in his NBA career to date. Russell scored 16 points and was smart with the ball. And Penn State rookie, Jalen Pickett, was huge in the second half with several clutch threes.

On the night Denver shot 56% from beyond the arc, and 60% overall. Without J–Dubb the historically vaunted Thunder defense was softer than melted butter in a microwave. That’s a Kelvin Sampson line just so you Oklahoma NBA basketball illiterate fuckwits know.

So…basically–the Thunder in Boston on Wednesday night which all the sudden appears to be a game which might tell us more about this Thunder team as the games start to mean something.

And, oh, BTW for you Trump loving dumbasses in Oklahoma…the best four players on the floor last night in OKC went in this order… 1 Nicola-Serbia, 2 Jamal-Canada, 3 Lu Dort-Canada, and 4 Shai-Canada.

Stick a motherfucking tariff on that you clueless idiots. I’d check the 401C values today. Just sayin’. And BTW, Joe Rogan… YOU WERE PLAYED.

Eternal love, Mike J

Thunder Rout Denver Nuggets Without Aaron Gordon & With Nicola Playing Injured, 124-103

I’m not sure what we as NBA fans draw from yesterday’s OKC win over a Denver team which in essence lost two of their top five players in the first period.

And I’m not sure they even need to play tonight in this ridiculous back to back if Aaron Gordon is a DNP and Nicola is hindered shooting the basketball due to a reinjured elbow. Plus, add to the fact the Nugget’s 7th player in the rotation, Julian Strawther, was a DNP as well.

So, in essence, the Nuggets played three quarters of this game without three of their top seven players. What was the score when Gordon left the game never to return and then Nicola fell on his elbow? That was not Nicola after the first period fall.

I absolutely hate the fact the NBA scheduled these games back to back in OKC instead of spreading them apart on the schedule. These OKC-Denver games should be impactful games played on the NBA Showcase on different week-ends. Another blunder by the NBA. It’s why their regular season ratings are tanking.

Let me make this clear, in my view the Thunder are easily the prohibitive favorite to win the Western Conference championship and advance to the NBA Finals where I think they will lose to the Boston Celtics in six games if Porzingus plays for Boston.

I’ve been writing this for three months.

And in this Age of Trump…I will admit I think it would be a sad thing for a team from the extreme radical right like OKC to win a championship in what is predominantly a black league. A league of fair-minded owners as far as social justice. A league where I would hope there is little off the record tolerance for the brattish, racist behavior of Donald Trump

I especially would find it curious to know what both Shai and Lu Dort think of Trump’s boorish behavior in relation to Canada since both guys play for Team Canada.

I wonder if we would ever hear a question like that from the lips of Little Nick Gallo or one of his controlled fuckwits in a Thunder postgame presser?

The chances of that question ever being asked or answered are ZERO. ZERO.ZERO.

I’d love to see the question ask of MVP Shai. I would. Because I think he’s an extremely intelligent guy. A man I respect. In fact…I think Shai may turn out to be this generation’s version of Kobe. I came to love Kobe after he became a father and dealt with the self-inflicted demons of what happened in Colorado.

So, since this MJ has virtually no chance of ever asking that question of Shai at a Sam Presti/Little Nick Gallo presser..I’ll ask it rhetorically here on the blog this morning.

Shai, this is Mike Jackson from okcthunderground.com..”If you guys win the NBA Championship…how would you as a black Canadian deal with the things Donald Trump has said about blacks, Canadians, and the independent nation of Canada in general?”

I honestly would love to hear both Shai and Lu Dort’s thoughts on this.

That’s it for me today on my radical left blog where I’ll be endorsing John McCain or Navalany for POTUS in 2028 if I’m still breathing.

Eternal love, MJ

OU Senior Night

It’s OU Senior Night and Coach Porter Moser’s group is in desperate need of a win over a good Missouri team. I’d probably have Missouri favored at -3 on my pick.

The Sooners are 4-12 in SEC play and 17-12 overall. Their last three losses have all been one basket losses to LSU, Kentucky, and a road loss at Ole Miss.

There is no more room on the resume for another home SEC loss, maybe not even a loss at Texas on Saturday. Porter Moser has never beaten Texas home or away during his four year stint in Norman. He never beat Kansas. He beat Baylor once in a Big 12 Tournament game. He did however beat every other Big 12 team and has a current three game winning streak against now Sub-Division Oklahoma State.

So at least he still has that to point to along with some nice wins over Providence, Louisville, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Arkansas on the road (best win on the resume), Vanderbilt, and Miss State.

But any thought whatsover about slipping in as a bubble team will require at the minimum a win at home tonight over Missouri.

I’m not the normal OU fan. I’m not a teasipper. I don’t quit on my teams. I feel their pain right now. Hell, I didn’t even go to school at OU althouhg I dreamed of playing third base for Enos Semore as a high school player. I worked/paid my way through college and graduated from UCO after six years of night school and summer night classes. I then did a follow-up degree at O State-OKC after I decided the Bob Jackson Street Law JD wasn’t the way I wanted to go with my life.

But I do bleed Crimson in the worst way imaginable. At times I wish I didn’t.

And in looking back… for the most part I like the path of my life. Coach Lombardi’s voice stayed with me, “Michael, be true to God, yourself, your family and never surrender. Don’t allow quitting to be part of your character”.

So…tonight I’d like to get there early and hang around the ramp coming out to the floor so I can tell Jalon Moore, Duke Miles, Sam Godwin and the other seniors to keep their chins up and don’t surrender on Senior Night or at Texas on Saturday at 6:00pm. Just do your best—you can live with that.

Good luck, guys.

Let’s go. BOOMER!

MJ’s Rebuttal to Whatever Bullshit Donald Trump Lays on the American People Tonight in D.C.

I’m not sure if I’m going to waste my time watching Donald Trump perjure his way through his Address to Congress ‘presentation’ tonight. I’m not into rich white guys lying to confused, economically misdirected white people. I’m not into that. That in effect is bullying and not cool.

None of us are deplorable. Hillary Clinton should never have uttered that comment in public even if it was true. We are all human beings in search of the American Dream and our own sliver of human dignity in the manner in which we live our lives. We all want our dignity.

None of us are Deplorables. God didn’t create any of us as Deplorables. Not one.

So….the U.S. stock markets are roiling with the Trump tariffs adding to the mass confusion of the Putin> Musk>Trump Fuckfest Shitshow five weeks into Trump II.

Oh…big surprise you stupid motherfuckers. Who could have forcast that curveball coming, right?

As a graduate of the Bob Jackson School of Street Law… I’ve already done my first draft of my rebuttal to the utter nonsense which I know will come out of Donald Trump’s mouth later this evening.

Let’s say MJ is Hakeem Jeffries for tonight. I’d hammer on about seven or eight points which have actually already been handed to any prosecutor worth a grain of salt as to the corrupt nature of Donald Trump II five weeks in.

Hakeem, step up, buddy. Chuck Schumer has about a 78 mph fastball right now and that is not going to cut it. Step the fuck up.

Let’s go or elevate someone who will.

1 The American Rule of Law… where ostensibly all of us should be treated as equals under this umbrella of American democratic law. Pretty basic stuff. Of the people. By the people. For the people.

2 The fact a non-American citizen South African and a non-American citizen Russian war criminal, murderous thug have more political sway than Senate Majority leader John Thune and House Majority leader Mike Johnson is in effect proof we are in a dictatorship bubble at this juncture.

Our democracy is hanging in the balance. That is not a hyperbolic sentence.

I’m almost certain No. 1 and No. 2 were not covered in the Joe Rogan podcast which was watched by 40 million white males leading into the election. Joe Rogan does not impress MJ. He was played for internet hits.

3 The Southern border issue would have been much better served if James Lankford’s bi-partisan Immigration Bill had been passed with Joe Biden still in office. By allowing Trump to weaponize this culture issue—and move it away from a bi-partisan solution doomed the desired impact it could have had with bi-partisan support.

4 What I would also do is pull up a chart showing the federal debt which was added to our national debt during Donald Trump’s first term…the number was in excess of 8 trillion dollars. Not exactly Koch Brothers’ Liberterian dream fiscal conservative numbers. But, hey…that is one thing Donald Trump has always been good at…running up leveraged debt and then going into bankruptcy.

5 Then I would show the U.S. Office of Budget numbers from the U.S. Presidential GDP metric chart….The fact is Donald Trump’s GDP rating since Herbert Hoover ranks only above Hoover’s historically bad -10.1 GDP, and the Joe Biden 2.2 number. Trump’s acumulative GDP in his first term was 2.3. So…it’s not like any kind of economical miracle took place.

What fueled most of the markets’ growth were CEOs buying back their own stock with freed liquid capital from the corporate tax cuts of Donald Trump in 2017. Hey, Oklahoma…y’all, that ain’t exactly the rebuilding of rural towns and counties is it? How you liking this shit so far?

6 Covid stimulated inflation is not going down. You people have neen fed a crock of crap on that one as well. It wouldn’t matter if Nikki Haley, Ron Desantis, Chris Christie, Asa Hutchinson, Mike Pence, Josh Shapiro, Mark Kelly, or Gretchen Whitmer was the POTUS. Those pre-covid prices aren’t coming back unless Trump completely blows and deflates the U.S. economy.

7 And lastly…. what we just witnessed last week with the shameful vote by the U.S. Ambassador as instructed by Trump to the U.N.– to leave Ukraine hanging at the mercy of Putin would be historically analogous to FDR bailing out on Britain and France in 1939 as Hitler took Poland.

What in effect just transpired here was 80 years of American world geopolitical power being flushed down the toilet by a spolied, petulant trust fund brat who avoided serving his country because he had bunyons on his feet.

And if one needed a No. 8…how about the pardon and expungement of 1,600 felons who attacked our capitol on January 6th and sent 140 law enforcement officers to D.C. hospitals. And, oh…btw these ‘patriots’ were building a gallow to hang the sitting vice-president of the United States.

Great stuff there, Trump people. Great stuff.

You people have no grasp whatsover what it means to be an American. You are to this point a disgraced collective legacy of American presidential history. Your legacy to your children and grandchildren as far as democracy and freedom will be shameful. Doing the right thing is hard sometimes. But you people better locate some inner strength and courage in a hurry.

Back From Denver

What a fun week in Greenwood Village, Colorado with the grandkids…Robert (5) and Aubrey (4). We did everything and more. MJ is worn out. He left nothing in the tank.

Hockey, hiking, golfing, homerun derby, a death street hockey game while the parents were away, hot-tubbing, ice hockey scrimmages at the University of Denver ice facility, gymnastics at the Univesity of Denver’s Gymnastic Center, the beautiful Denver Zoo, sightseeing in the foothills of the Rockies, and watching the iconic golf movie the Legend of Booger Vance.

Then a tour of the Colorado campus where the kids will begin the next part of their educational journey next August.

It was beautiful.

I DID NOT watch one single moment of national or local news. I DID NOT watch one single moment of either a college or NBA basketball game. While the kids were asleep I finished Alexei Navalny’s memoir entitled Patriot.

I did not witness Trump and Vance’s shameful performance with President Zelensky at the White House until this Monday evening. I’ll just say this to you Trump voters…if you maintain that Kamala Harris should never have been the Dems nominee…MJ would sugget to you JD Vance should never have gone beyond being a state senator from Ohio.

Stick to the fake Hillbilly novels, JD. Know your wheelhouse. You’ve got that non-college educated white trash demographic wrapped up for certain in 2028. Yup.

I wonder if me being the only honest writing voice in the intellectually desolate Oklahoma landscape will eventually get me killed like my buddy Navalny. I wonder if at some point Markwayne Mullin, Ryan Walters, Mike Gundy and their boss the orange tinted Reality Televison Star will haul me off to an execution camp in Southeastern Oklahoma.

If they do…they do.

But unlike the passive-submissive Lindsey Graham, the pathetic JD Vance, and the floppy-eared Little Marco Rubio…..MJ will blog the truth on what is quite frankly the best underground blog left standing five weeks into Trump’s second term. If only the Dems had one-fifth of the editorial courage this blog has then maybe Trump’s second term would never have happened in the first place.

And Little Marco…you don’t need to worry about Trump’s dick…either get an ear job or cover those things up with a cap.

What I’m saying is the Democratic Party ‘almost’ makes me want to puke as much much as the gutless fifty-three Rebublican U.S. Senators.

But enough of this. I need to focus in on basketball as we are now in full March basketball mode.

Freedom is a beautiful thing.

But it requires attention, courage, and some integrity. All of which are achingly lacking in America circa 2025. You people are getting ready to get a full dose of what the Greek gods called perpetia…or just basic karma. It will be a bitch. Ask Eva Braun.

Trust me.
