I’m a big Scott Pelly fan. This was on Sixty Minutes last night and is such a tragic part of Oklahoma’s history pertaining to race. This has to on my blog.
I don’t know if Trump people consider Sixty Minutes part of their fake news conspiracy of media bias.
Scott Pelly has one of the great voices in the history of news. You might be interested to know Pelly is a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
I spent a New Years Eve in Lubbock with my father the year OU played Boise in the Fiesta Bowl. If you’ve never been to Lubbock…you need to go at least once.

Sandy grew up in Tulsa, but this was never mentioned. I never heard of it, either….
How ironic Donald Trump will be in Tulsa this week-end. We should pray the city gets through this without incident. Trump knows where to butter his toast that’s for certain….Oklahoma, Alabama, Lousiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, etc, etc. All the states which are propped by federal tax dollars from blue states and Texas.
Great show and pretty sure 60 Min is fake news for some. We had such a great time at the Fiesta bowl 🙂
That was one lit football game. Bobby and I hugged twice thinking OU had won the game. But when Boise won it on the Statue of Liberty it didn’t bother me. It was Boise’s destiny. It was their moment. Then when their running back proposed to the cheerleader you knew it was the right thing in the football universe. Who could have written all that into the ending of a football game?
I remember at the time Urban Myer’s wife said she started crying as all this was happening in the game while she was watching on television. Probably reminded her of when Urban was a young coach at Utah.
