The coach and team + top 5 pick this year is too good to tank like this again without having disastrous consequences. I can tell you Shai is done with the tank and other players are joining him. You don’t want to bring a rookie into that environment of the GM crapping all over the players. It’s hard enough to get any outside respect when you tank. It ruins your coach’s record and demoralizes the players very quickly. But if you have a base of talented players to continue the tank like this you start to rot from within.
Finish up the job this year. Trade up from the Clipper pick and get another impact player if necessary.’

‘Very nice. Solid work. Pretty much my thoughts, minus perhaps the fact I want to see Mark D coach one legitimate NBA season before I cross that bridge as it appears you have already done. Write something of this length on Chet for me. I think we’re in agreement there, but I’d like your take in more detail. Ask Luke what he thinks…he’s a bright kid who should have his own blog or at the least be featured on here as well from time to time.
On a personal note, it’s nice to see you trying to help Justin find himself. There was a time when he was right there only ten yards behind El Prez in the Thunder blogosphere. Kind of like Gundy with Big Game Bob. Now look at him. It’s pathetic. I wonder if he squats to pee when Thunder Girl takes him out for a walk.

Thanks. You know Thunder Princess will probably sanction you at some point for speaking truth to power. What a massive disappointment she turned out to be. She has a Fredo quality to her. That isn’t a positive. El Prez has a little Fredo list if you know what I mean. Be kind though and follow the constrictive posting rules they have in place or else you’ll find yourself banned.
We got to the OU game early. They looked pretty good blowing out an over-matched Missouri State team.
Porter was pretty wound up before the game, so we didn’t have a chance to talk. We sat right behind the OU bench and EJ was there with his crutches. I asked him if was coming back and he didn’t hesitate saying yes. I think Moj will be back as well. The starting five is already in place with CJ Noland probably being the Sixth Man off the bench. Bijuan should consider transferring to Tulsa or Oral Roberts. His confidence appears to have cratered.
Be especially kind to Justin. Like Russell Westbrook, he’s become another Thunder Greek tragedy.

You used to be very brand-conscious. Might be time for a rebrand that doesn’t rely so heavily on insults or constantly licking the wounds of perceived slights. It would be an adjustment since you’ve nursed this so long and it’s entwined with your writing identity . . . but I challenge you to test whether you have enough to say when you’re not running down others.
The only group of people I can think of who I’ve been critical of on my blog is your little group at the Daily Thunder. Otherwise, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I can’t post on your extremely one-sided message-board. I really don’t have any idea what you’re really talking about. Do you want me to ban myself on my own blog on my own domain?
I love it. Perhaps, you guys shouldn’t take yourself that seriously.
If you look at every single entry on my blog for the last month or longer…the only negativity you might see in any of my topics is directed towards the Daily Thunder.
Why? Because… I think the blog is a joke.
Otherwise, I’m pretty neutral on most of what I write about. I’m not an ideologue of any sort.
But here’s the thing with me. I won’t ban you because I fervently believe everyone should have a right to express themselves in our country. And you might take notice…that’s precisely what the Ukrainians are fighting for right now.
If you guys are so thin-skinned, then you should probably close down your message-board.
