I played this earlier in the season, but I’m going to play it again because I believe the Jerry West phone call to Kevin Durant played a part in the decision. If ever there was a player who understands championship legacy it’s West who was only able to beat the Celtics the one time for an NBA ring. I would absolutely love to read the transcript of that conversation. Maybe Jeter can pull this off and put something on his forum with genuine insight and candor. Please watch this you’ll enjoy.
