Ken Burns: The Vietnam War Documentary

One of my majors in college was history. I’m a junkie in that regard, but I always set aside the time to watch the films of Ken Burns. If only those fifty per cent of Americans who get their news from Facebook would watch quality films and read quality writers–I’m almost certain we wouldn’t be where we are as a country presently.

History should be our greatest teacher, yet in this country we seem to be regressing intellectually and morally with each passing day.

I look forward to watching this new Burn’s film because I’m sure we will see many significant similarities between 1968 and 2017 from a historical standpoint. But now is worse because of the intellectual and moral meltdown in this country.

For those of you who voted for Trump here’s the thing…Goldwater, Buckley, Reagan, Bush 41, Bush 43, McCain, Romney and almost every respected conservative columnist wouldn’t agree with you.

In the midst of perhaps the most tense situation since the Cuban Missile Crisis, our sitting president is tweeting memes of him hitting Hillary Clinton in the back of the head with a golf ball.

End of argument. We have the dumbest president of all-time and a core who aren’t much smarter. Please start watching PBS, quality films, and reading something other than Facebook. It’s embarrassing…seriously. In a country where there are so many inherit freedoms–you should explore all options.
