Every Village Has Its Idiot: Part 10

This was on February 27th …I believe before The Perjurer in Chief had Dr. Birx up near the podium with him so it appeared every f–king word coming out out of his mouth wasn’t a lie or misstatement. Let’s go to the video.

Okay. So yesterday—I was picking up some take out Chinese in Edmond and there was this new big white kid manning the counter I’d never seen before. I walk up to him and hear he’s got Rush Limbaugh on a small radio underneath the counter.

I smiled to myself and said to myself, “Don’t do this, Mike”

But then I said to him…”You guys are still open I see. You know– in eleven states they closed dining rooms in restaurants earlier today.”

He gives me this go to hell look and says,”All eleven are in pussy blue states, mister. We won’t be closing.”

So…I say, “What are you going to do if Governor Stitt orders all restaurants closed except for a drive thru—you guys don’t have a drive thru window?”

He says, “I’m a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment. The state won’t be closing us down. Trust me. Coronavirus spreading… fake news. We won’t be closing our doors.”

I replied, “Well you know, I heard on Rush Limbaugh yesterday Bill Gates has the patent on the vaccine for the coronavirus for birds….and I’m hearing from my more reliable sources—he may sell that one for $40 billion to Trump if they can make it compatible to humans.”

He says, “Yeah, killer. I heard something like that too. Trump is the man. Bill Gates is right there with Soros as scum. F–k ’em both.”

“See you next week, kid.”

“I’ll be here , mister.”

Sigh.

The end.

Mark Cuban One Week Ago

This video was a week ago just as the NBA was closing down their season indefinitely.

Compared to the rogue grifter Trump he seems more poised and realistic at the moment than anything we’ve observed from the POTUS before yesterday.

I just observed Trump giving his mid-day report with his psychiatric staff circled around him… and I have to say he appears more hinged than per his normal. Maybe the nice looking older female doctor (Dr. Birx) standing on his rear left flank is having a calming effect along with his med applications.

Anyway… I wanted to put the Mark Cuban video up just to reference how a real billionaire pro sports franchise owner reacts when the health of his employees is at stake. His concern seemed heartfelt and sincere, two things which have been sorely missing until yesterday from Trump’s litany of missteps.

I wonder if Mark Cuban would be interested in being on Joe Biden’s cabinet at some point.

Just thinking out loud right now.

CO2 Emissions Down 30% Since February 1st

So….is this what the world would look like if Bernie Sanders was to be elected and somehow get his Green Deal passed by the U.S. Senate?

Obviously…if you believe in science you realize there is climate change, but the real question is how does the world transition energy sources in an incremental manner which doesn’t do to the world economies as to what the coronavirus has done in less than two months.

As much as I’d like to blame the Pussy Grabber for everything, I can’t because that wouldn’t be honest or objective writing. Besides, he’s really only Mitch McConnell’s puppet.

China not burning coal during the past six weeks at its normal pace has been a boon for cleaning up the world’s atmosphere. If the world was to do the first thing in what was the Paris Climate Accord…the first thing which would help the world’s atmosphere is to get rid of coal as an energy source.

But you can’t go about this like crazy Bernie Sanders. This will require deft nuance, which BTW could have been helpful from Donald Trump the past month as he accelerated the virus in North America through his stupidity at his press conferences.

I would think you increase the role of natural gas and come to terms with how much you can and can’t do with solar, wind, nuclear, and electric…. and come to some realistic conclusions regarding energy, economies, and the world’s global carbon footprint.

Under my plan this doesn’t happen overnight or in one election. This happens where the world gradually and beyond my lifetime phases down the rate of which it uses oil to fuel the world economies.

So think about today in America. The airlines, which are a major abuser of carbon, are basically shut down. People in certain parts of the country are hunkered down in their homes not consuming products or services as they’ve watched the Dow go down by 30%.

The U.S. economy is the world’s largest consumer. So if you followed either Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warrens’ plans and you cratered the world’s largest economy where would you pay for all of your grandiose visions? Is this America we see this week your template?

This is too deep for Donald Trump. He doesn’t view the world like this. He sees the world in incremental units of pussy, McDonald’s hamburgers, kicked golf balls out of the rough, and snarky tweets.

This is why I thought Michael Bloomberg or Michael Bennett would have been good choices. This is an unusual time in our history when we need to pivot in a very well thought out manner.

So we sit and watch this week in America as the GOP Senate will grapple with their own version of TARP circa 2008. We’ll see what the the fifty-three GOP senators can agree with after they could have taken a major step to clean up the world over a month ago if they’d just had the balls to dump Donald Trump.

I have to wonder what thoughts are running through the minds of Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Lamar Alexander, Susan Collins, Cory Gardner and others as they’ve observed the complete abdication of U.S. presidential leadership in the past month.

It should be a week for a serious reflection for all Americans. But how ironic it is that the world’s greatest climate change denier in Donald Trump has done much more than Obama ever did for the atmosphere simply by helping to crater the world’s largest consuming economy.

Go figure.

Donald Trump $9 Trillion Equity Gone Poof Karoke

Okay. If you’re a Donald Trump cult member and you somehow stumbled on my blog….peace.

I’m done with calling white people in the southern half of the United States deplorable or deplorables. We’re all just human. We all f–k up here and there.

That’s not me. I’m going to try extremely hard to not repost the Dave Chapelle video of him lecturing poor white people who don’t understand the implications of the current United States tax code on how they should have voted in 2016.

Me…being that way on my blog to you isn’t cool. It’s not human. It’s the very thing I’ve repeatedly admonished our human junk bond POTUS for …for over three and half years. It’s not Christian.

It’s been a bad month for you. Even worse for our entire nation as Vlad Putin has had his way with us in every imaginable way possible with only a $70 billion defense budget and a modest economy at his disposal.

He couldn’t have done this by himself. Ne needed you to vote for a washed up reality television star to be the 45th POTUS…and you did it.

It is what it is.

We’ll just sing it together….with feeling.

Trump Virus Sends Markets Roiling on Monday

I’ve been saving this interview for a day just like today as the Dow was at one point this morning down 2,700 points a mere twelve hours after the Fed dropped the prime interest rate to literally zero.

Scaramucci is a Harvard Business School grad and former Fox commentator who has his own hedge fund. Unfortunately for Scaramucci… he was Donald Trump’s communications director for eleven days. That will forever be a black mark on his resume as it will be for Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee-Sanders, and Stephanie Grissom.

But to his credit—he’s rid himself of the stain of Donald Trump and become an interesting observer of Trump and his cult-like followers the rest of us call ‘The Base.’ It’s not a base, it’s a cult, but if these people want to delude themselves and call it a base what the f–k ever.

Say or think what you want about the coronavirus which is on the cusp of becoming a 9/11 type of economic meltdown, but the real virus in play is the Trump-virus. As in this person in no way has the skill set and human characteristics for the job of the U.S. presidency.

The only thing Donald Trump should have ever been president of is the Atlantic City Strip Bar Owners Association. Not complicated to understand unless you’re a Trump cult member.

At one point this morning the market was down 27% in equity value since February 16th as this president has bumbled around like the poser we outside of the cult knew he was/is.

Big effing surprise the guy who bankrupted himself at least five times we know of is on track again only this time with the greatest economy in the history of the world at his disposal.

Big effing surprise, eh.

A part of me wants to post the Dave Chappelle video about white people who aren’t smart enough to even vote in their self interest. But this isn’t the time for me to lack human compassion on my blog for these people. I won’t even call them deplorables either. See how I’ve grown?

Anyway…this is an excellent interview if you can handle some semblance of the truth.

Trump on the Cusp of Having ‘Tremendous Control’ Over Coronavirus Pandemic

Two weeks ago.

Then there was Fed Chief Jerome Powell today announcing an interest rate cut yet… no one to date has still seen any coronavirus test kits from President Strangelove’s $22.5 trillion dollar economy which seems to be unable to do much of anything just yet with the exception of conducting completely bizarre press conferences.

It is truly like watching Inspector Clouseau interrogating the menkey and the blind menkey grinder while the bank is being robbed.

Putin and his cabinet must be having watch parties for every one of the Trump corona pressers with free vodka shots for those who attend.

Who would have thought just by getting Trump elected that Russia in three years would be able to reverse the historic implications of the Cold War without ever firing a shot or missile at the United States.

This evening.

A Little Inspirational Music for Bernie Sander’s Debate Tonight

Bernie Sanders needs a huge game changer tonight in what could be his first and final debate with Joe Biden. Neither one of these guys made my top three Dem list. They’re both too damn old and both have significant baggage.

Bernie is an open socialist quasi communist who’s never done much of anything while serving in the Senate. While Joe Biden has the horrific baggage of Hunter Biden attached to him like dead weight chained to his legs.

Michael Bennett would have been good. Amy Klobuchar is qualified. Michael Bloomberg would have been able to work both sides of the aisle of the Senate and get things done. But these are the Dems and we know they have this certain self imposed death wish element to their own party. So we’ll just have to see how this plays out in the coming months.

Bernie’s wife is Jane…so I was googling the old Jefferson Starship classic and low and behold I found this at the Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy.

What a win for me as I’m always trying to upgrade my own karaoke skill set.

If I were Bernie’s handlers tonight…I give him a couple of Viagras and play this video for him right before the debate. You know, maybe juice him up a little bit. What doess he have to lose at this point?

What a rock classic done beautifully by Gabriela Guncikova!

One Shining Moment Revisited

What a great March Madness it was last season as Virginia, Texas Tech, Auburn, and Michigan State fought their way to the Final Four. It was one of my favorite tournaments of all-time.

Granted, college basketball has significant issues, but these three weeks are what basketball fans live for year in and year out. It is a pure slice of Americana.

How sad it will not be part of our collective American souls this year because the pussy grabber almost six weeks ago couldn’t distract his attention long enough from trolling Nancy Pelosi to order some test kits for President Obama’s then $22.5 trillion economy.

If only Pussy Grabber could have just this once elevated himself from his fourth grade level norm and been presidential… maybe we’d be having March Madness. Maybe the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Maybe the Masters in Augusta with Jimmy Nance.

Putin is laughing his ass off. Even he couldn’t have envisioned that getting Trump elected could so thoroughly eviscerate every thread of what used to make America great on every level.

It would have been a great tournament this year. Complete and total parity unless you considered Kansas noteworthy special. I didn’t.

Anyway…in case you weren’t paying attention this was AP’s Top Sixteen this previous Monday before the tournament was cancelled.

1 Kansas

2 Gonzaga

3 Dayton How screwed do you think the Dayton Flyers feel right now? Ohio should go blue on this alone.

4 Florida State

5 Baylor

6 San Diego State

7 Creighton

8 Kentucky

9 Michigan State 2019 national semi-finalist

10 Duke

11 Villanova

12 Maryland

13 Oregon

14 BYU

15 Louisville

16 Virginia 2019 defending national champion

Both Auburn and Texas Tech swooned late in the season. Auburn would have still made the field. Not sure about Texas Tech.

We’ll never know.

My First Saturday Since Age Four Without Sports

Since Donald Trump has ended American culture as I once knew it….this was the first Saturday since I was four in which I wasn’t playing, coaching, watching, or blogging about a sporting event.

It was rainy and cold today in Deer Creek so I didn’t work or even want to walk the diva lab Pauli. I had about half a dozen movie discs from what I call my Sleeper’s List and just watched movies all day into the night.

They were all good, but one in particular blew me away. It was a small budget movie filmed in Oklahoma by the title of ‘I Can Only Imagine’ starring Dennis Quaid and Trace Adkins.

It’s a true story about the Christian music group Mercy Me and how their hit song “I Can Only Imagine’ became a No. 1 hit single.

It was especially touching for me because the story is primarily about a son who has an up and down relationship with his father until his father is diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. But in the end they work it out in a beautiful manner which left me in tears. It did.

I’m not saying this was an Oscar type movie, but if you’re ever looking for a nice change of pace story you might like it.

So my first Saturday without sports in fifty-eight years was actually quite eventful for me. God works in mysterious ways.

This Isn’t A Time For A Grifter To Run The Country

This is one of the primary reasons I endorsed Michael Bloomberg and thought he would be a qualified person to absorb the previous three years of the Donald Trump trail of corruption and neglect.

There will be profound challenges on multiple fronts given the neglect from the previous three years. Nothing has been done to healthcare. We pulled out of our historic alliances. We told the world we don’t believe in science or climate change. We told the world we don’t understand the nuance of free trade. We told the world we value relationships with leaders like Putin and Ergodan more than we do with the leaders of democracy.

Most of all we gave our wealthiest record tax cuts on both the individual and corporate levels which juiced the markets with artificial liquidity….yet led to our first and second trillion dollar budget deficits.

So ask all of your your Trump friends this week how much love they’re feeling for their Trump 401k this week? Then ask them where they think that $7.5 trillion of liquid equity went?

Yes, please ask your Trump friends to answer these two questions.

Then ask them what they think America’s GDP rate of loss will be these first two fiscal quarters of 2020?

Please ask and demand an answer from your closest Trump humans in your life. Don’t call them a deplorable. Don’t call them any names. Just seek answers to the questions.

This is no time for stupid people to be left to making decisions. This isn’t like the 2008 crisis per se, but some lessons should be gleaned from that fiasco as to how nuanced decisions should be made moving forward in 2020.
