Opening Statement: The Case for Impeachment

Unless you’re a complete political zealot with a red R stamped on your forehead with Sean Hannity’s voice streaming in your mind none of this should be a surprise. The question remaining to be answered will be which Republicans can for the first time in nearly a decade can put their country in front of their political affiliation. To date, we never saw this once in the eight years of Obama and we certainly haven’t seen it since Caligula emerged from Cleveland as the GOP rogue candidate. We haven’t seen it from his base either. Trump is right his base loves him because he’s not Obama. He can be seen on video telling Billy Bush he tried to fuck her like a bitch. He can keep every one of his business interests while occupying the White House. He can be the first president since Nixon not to turn over his tax returns. He could probably even shoot someone in broad daylight and it wouldn’t faze any of them.

I called Senator James Lankford’s office yesterday for the third time since Caligula’s inaugural speech. I’m not sure what I think about Oklahoma’s junior senator. He’s on the Senate Intel Committee, so I’m going to try to give him an enormous benefit of the doubt and see if he can do the right thing. He seems like a nice man. My goodness, he’s a former youth minister with two daughters–yet the furniture store sport fucking video didn’t seem to faze him. We’ll see if the triumph of politics wins over doing the right thing.

  1. We continue to be just amazed that no Republican legislator is speaking out, and trying to stop the MADNESS! Does no one care enough about our country to stand up and speak truth?
Surely no adult believes that closing their eyes and ears will change things for the better.
