What Was Donald Trump Doing During the Financial Crisis of 2008?

I have to be careful on my modest little blog with my language during these tense pivotal times in American history. I have to pinch myself to not to be too hard on the white peckerhead faction who primarily live in Richard Nixon and Donald Trump’s wheelhouse states. I want to make absolutely certain I don’t offend any Mary Fallin or Kevin Stitt supporters on my blog.

My daddy…who was a courtroom trial lawyer like Atticus Finch would be torching these humans right now, but if still alive he would want me to be fair to all involved.

My father back in the 1950’s as a college student learned of racism when he and his close friend Joe Carter Sr. were denied service in a downtown Oklahoma City cafe because Joe was black.

Now, of course…the story goes my father then worked his way through night law school at Oklahoma City University and graduated No. 1 in his class. But more importantly that day back in the 50’s forged a lifetime friendship between my dad and Joe. Joe became one of my fishing mentors when I was a kid and became in a sense an uncle to me. Joe was the greatest fisherman I ever witnessed. Period. At his funeral his fishing gear was placed inside his casket with him I kid you not.

Everyone loved Joe Carter. He had permission from it seems like every land owner in Oklahoma and Cleveland counties to fish and hunt on their private lands. It was always special going fishing with him. He was so passionate about fishing it was contagious.

We were in fact in Joe’s house that night Joe Jr. went yard against Mitch ‘Wild Thing’ Williams to propel the Toronto Blue Jays to the World Series championship. I think me, my father, and my mother were the only white people at that that party. Damn….I feel like Forrest Gump telling this story.

So I proceed with great caution keeping the white peckerhead faction of these United States in mind. Hopefully, most of these people are so riveted on the Jeff Sessions vs. Tommy Tuberville GOP senatorial runoff in Alabama and what Rush Limbaugh is thinking of the coronavirus they would never log in on my blog anyway.

BTW…who was the first U.S. Senator in 2015 to come on board with Donald Trump’s birtherism presidential candidacy?

Yes, you are correct it was the pathetic little racist peckerhead Jeff Sessions in Alabama who somehow despite being not much of lawyer himself became Trump’s first attorney general. Of course, like everything else with Trump… he eventually set Jeff Sessions on fire as he did with Michael Cohen to save his own worthless bulbous white ass.

I wonder at times what Atticus Finch’s language would be like with Donald Trump in the courtroom while being the plaintiff’s lawyer in the United States of America vs. Donald Trump.

My daddy up in heaven and I talk about this at times. We do.

So what was Donald Trump doing in 2008-09 when at the end of Bush 43’s presidency the U.S. and world markets collapsed simultaneously as eight million Americans lost their jobs as the Dow dropped to the 6,000 range?

What was Donald Trump doing to help Americans?

Your Honor, at this time the plaintiff would like to admit into evidence the video above as Exhibit A.

President Barack Obama’s First State of the Union Speech

Trump gave a special Sunday night address to the nation which will have the markets at the minimum opening 1,000 points lower on the opening bell. He doesn’t know how to do this. He doesn’t know how to put his ego’s needs secondary to those of ordinary working people. This isn’t about his re-election…it’s about everyday normal people.

It isn’t in his wheelhouse. This doesn’t involve pussy grabbing or trying to screw someone else’s wife. It isn’t about defaulting on a bank loan or dead-beating honest contractors. It isn’t about degrading a genuine war hero like John McCain while he avoided serving his country due to bunions on his tiny little feet.

Donald Trump isn’t a leader. It’s not in his DNA. He’s an internet troll, a coward, a grifter, and a con artist. I could go further, but I’ll stop there.

The video above is what a real American president looks like when his country is mired in a historical financial calamity.

This is what it looks like.

Then of course…there’s the leader of the American Christian evangelical movement as we know him. As we drive around Oklahoma with all its churches closed due to the coronavirus it might not be a bad time for some of these people to give a serious rethink on what it is they’re actually doing by attending church.

Billy Bush got fired.

The American Christian evangelicals elected Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States.

This must be their One Shining Moment, no?

If Donald Trump Murdered Melania On Video Tape?

As I watched my favorite political show on Saturday which is Smerconish—I wondered to myself what would happen if Melania were found shot and dead in her far off area of the White House away from Trump, Creepy Jared, and Amazon-Woman Ivanka?

Let’s say she’s found dead from a gunshot wound at close range. Then–let’s say a week passes and it is then revealed there’s a security video tape which shows Trump entering her room and killing the FLOTUS.

So my Smerconish Question of the Week is…in which states would Trump killing Melania cause his poll approval numbers to actually go higher?

I’m not being tongue and cheek on this. I actually thought about this all day after doing Chapter 2 of Melania’s FLOTUS Diary. In which states with this act being caught on videotape would Donald Trump’s approval poll numbers go higher?

I gave this a great deal of thought because in Oklahoma I’m pretty certain his poll numbers would increase with the claim the tape was a George Soros deep state plot of sorts somehow intangled with climate change, hydro-carbons, and Bill Gates.

This is my list of states which I think his approval numbers would actually go up…Oklahoma, West Virginia, both Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Kansas, Arkansas, probably Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, of course Alabama, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

So by my count that’s eighteen states which are not in any manner in play in the coming election regardless of how far down Donald Trump drags the United States down toward third world status between now and November.

I think I’m actually going to email Michael Smerconish and get his take on my question of the week and if he thinks my take is empirically sound.

Dark Towers by David Enrich

If you get a chance with the lack of normal life going on currently you might want to read Dark Towers by David Enrich. It’s a history of Deutsche Bank and its relationship with Donald Trump heading into the Election of 2016.

Enrich is the lead finance writer for the NY Times and previously held the same position with the Wall Street Journal. I would think or hope this book should transcend party lines as far as readership goes.

It’s a great read. You might want to pick up a copy since the world changed two weeks ago.

Melania’s FLOTUS Diary: Chapter 2

Dear Diary

So muuch has happened sence I wrote to you last. I would feel more comfortable writing to you in Slovenian but my editors at fake news CNN say they want ferst draft to book in english.

Oh well.

Where do I start?

Last time i think wrote you Donalt has escaped being convicted by Bob Muueler for helping our close firend Putin beat Crooked Hillary Clinton in election.

Then there was the impeechment trial when they said Donalt extorted the Ukarine for damming information on Hunter Biden.

It seams being POTUS and FLOTUS isn’t as easy as Donalt told me it wood be.

Now all of this weeth Donalt for not paying attention to caroonavirus and collapsing U.S. economy because he was too busy how they say trolling Adam Schif after he was found innocent by all except Mit Romney.

It seems like it Deuscth Bank all over again. Maybe worse. So messy.

There is good news though. Since Hope Hicks come back Donalt doesn’t bother me anymore for me to let him you know… touch me. Which is very good because this mean creepy Jared and Amazon woman Ivanka aren’t spying on me as they useually do.

My book editors at fake news CNN say if I do good job with diary manuscreept it will outsell any thing ever written by Bob Woodward.

They tell me if I write well me, Baron, and father Victhor will have enough money to flee back to Slovenia and have normal lives again.

So Diary… I ride my Peleton, dream of a day being back in Slovenia with my family and becoming simple Slovenian girl once again.

Why Tom Brady Makes Tampa Bay A Super Bowl Contender

Unless Donald Trump decides to have another presser this week-end and demand the markets to open this week-end… I think I’ll take a break from him decimating the markets with his foolish behavior. almost fourth grade level behavior.

So–Tom Brady is going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to ostensibly help the Bucs win the second Super Bowl in their franchise history.

Can he do this with a Tampa team which was 7-9 last season and a major disappointment for the second straight season?

I think he can because the Bucs have a great deal in place as a team which just needs an elite NFL quarterback to bring the pieces together..

The Bucs have Bruce Ariens as their head coach and if you don’t know…Ariens has twice won the NFL Coach of the Year Award and twice won a Super Bowl ring as an NFL assistant coach. This could be the second year in a row for an Andy Reid type to win the Super Bowl.

Check the head coaching box.

At wide receiver Tampa has both Mike Evans ans Chris Godwin which gives the GOAT a better set of targets than he had last season in New England with Edelman and whoever.

Check the wide receiver box.

This is a Tampa team from last year which moved the ball with Jameis Winston, but they were killed by his thirty interceptions of which seven went for a pick six the other way.

Check that box with six-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady. The Greatest of All-Time.

As far as defense–the Bucs had one of the stingiest run defenses in the NFL, but again consider how many times Jameis Winston left them in bad spots with his thirty interceptions. The Tampa defense is anchored by All-Pro linebacker Shaq Barrett.

So check the stud linebacker box. BTW… Barrett played on the Denver Super Bowl team of several years ago so the Bucs have captains on both sides of the ball with a Super Bowl ring.

Check the intangible championship DNA box as well.

And the last box?

Next year’s Super Bowl is being played in Tampa Bay.

This is why I think the Bucs have a shot at being special next NFL if Donald Trump can pull his head out of his ass long enough to not ruin next fall’s NFL season.

Maybe, just maybe, pissing away an NFL season is the one thing his base of dysfunction won’t tolerate.

Trump Unhinged Again at Friday Presser

He has this thing for Peter Alexander of NBC News for sure. Since no one in his administration ever holds him accountable for being a pathological lying pussy chaser…. he seems to particularly rant against those in the press who calmly expose him as the punk liar he truly is on every imaginable level.

But there’s the Trump white base at home with their microwave popcorn chanting…”Fake news” with every Trump lie. It’s stunning.

He could care less about them, yet they’ve embraced him as their boy.

As soon as he gets behind the podium at one of his pressers which have taken the place of his rallies in some of the dumber locales in our country like Oklahoma…the markets literally begin dropping. Every time.

Dr. Birx should push him aside and take control of the pressers would be my take if I were Mitch McConnell and wanted to keep appointing federal judges for another four years.

Michael Lewis: Are the Markets Rigged Against the Average Investor?

I’m a fan of Michael Lewis. It started with me when I read his iconic book on the bond traders at Solomon Brothers titled ‘Liar’s Poker’. Since reading the book I’ve read everything he’s written book-wise.

This video above is after he wrote ‘The Flashboys’ in which he asserts the markets are rigged against the average investor. They’re especially rigged if four senators on the Senate Finance Committee are making prescient trades based on insider information…just saying.

Great for Oklahoma as eighty-five year old climate change denier Jim Inhoffe made the dubious Final Four. I’m sure in Oklahoma the science denier will easily be re-elected once again taking him into his nineties in the Senate even though his presence has done nothing to prevent Donald Trump from allowing the Saudis to do whatever they want with the independent oil producers in America.

The book Flash Boys goes into fascinating detail on how the market institutions have a built in edge against the average investor. It’s a great financial question? Are the markets inherently rigged like Vegas?

Of course they are… even if Warren Buffet wants to deny it.

The markets were interesting yesterday as investors guestimated oil had bottomed out at $20 dollar a barrel. Oil had its best ever day with West Texas crude getting back up to the $25 a barrel benchmark. But I’d be careful still with oil if you’re thinking bout buying into an oil ETF fund for one simple reason…there’s a mass overabundance of the commodity. Yesterday was just bottom feeding.

Both Devon and Continental had a nice little rebound day, but both are still a combined $150 billion below what their market value was maybe eight or nine years ago.

In closing, I almost fell out of my chair laughing today when Trump claimed he was very much against stock buy back plans which came in torrents after Mitch McConnell got his corporate tax cut passed.

Does anybody in America remember one instance of Donald Trump warning of the danger of stock buy back plans during the beer keg party at the White House the day the cuts were passed into law?

I’d love to hear when that happened from a Trump defender.

Never give a sucker an even break…and kick him when he’s down: The Donald Trump mantra.

Republicans Evidently Have No Shame

Since I was a registered Republican from 1976 thru 2000 I can write this Op-Ed on my modest little underground blog from an objective perch. Not only was I a member of the Republican Party, but in nine out of the eleven presidential elections I’ve vote in…I voted for the GOP candidate nine times with John McCain in 2016 being the last time I did as such.

In my first presidential election in 1976…I was almost banned from my family by my grandmother Maureen for voting for Gerald Ford in spite of the Nixon pardon. The fact is…she never looked at me the same after that vote. So don’t think for a second this is a liberal writing this Op-Ed.

And, of course, I voted for Obama twice and the irony there is that as the years have passed both John McCain and Mitt Romney are the only two Republicans of recent memory beyond Bush 41 and Reagan I have any respect for of historical consequence.

Bush 43 is a conundrum for me. I cursed him during his time in office, but as the years have passed and after reading a biography he wrote about his father…I view him with much more warmth compared to the human junk bond by the name of Donald Trump.

I guess at no point whatsoever do contemporary Republicans have a threshold of individual shame. Trump in no way got it wrong when he said he could shoot someone in broad daylight and it wouldn’t bother his base.

It doesn’t matter to them what line of horrific he crosses as long as he pushes their buttons with his predictable schitck.

Evidently …even pissing away money doesn’t faze these contemporary Republicans. They have no problem with record setting deficits. They have no problem with bailouts immediately following two of the most historic tax cuts in our history. They have no problem with middle class people getting eviscerated in their 401ks. They have no shame. They have no core beliefs beyond what Donald Trump says… goes.

These people go to church. They call themselves fiscal conservatives. They at one time referred to themselves as national defense hardliners during the Cold War. They considered themselves free traders and proponents of laissez-faire Darwinain free enterprise doctrines before Trump came along.

They are neither now. They’re just lost souls who torched their own party in 2016 and four years later take no responsibility whatsoever for their action. Fact is…those people will do the same in 2020.

I guess they don’t care what example their sons or grandsons see them set. I guess the women which surround them in their lives have no problems with Donald Trump.

I’m to assume the behavioral model these people crave moving forward is to treat everyone around them like a piece of inferior junk. Then go to church, make sure they’re seen at church, then violate every tenet of the New Testament after they’ve left church.

I’m to assume the Golden Rule isn’t shared aloud in the churches of Donald Trump. I’m to assume people who go to the churches of Donald Trump believe in Birtherism and view women as inferior.

What other assumptions can I make?

So…I’m on here to admit I’ve been wrong for three years on my blog about the people who voted for Donald Trump in 2016. It wasn’t just about the two historic tax cuts.

It was about them.

Because they evidently have no threshold of individual shame or regret.

None.

Kevin Stitt Should Call President Obama and Ask Him to Run For A Third Term

My, my, my…then Governor Mary Fallin wouldn’t even stay in town to meet President Obama.

My, my, my.

Back in the last days of 2016 with President Obama leading the country…West Texas Crude closed at around $53 dollars a barrel without Scott Pruitt heading EPA or Rick Perry heading the Dept. of Energy.

The futures still looked relatively bright for Oklahoma companies like Devon Energy and Continental Resources.

Then came Pussy Grabber. The one who kills everything he touches.

As the markets closed yesterday West Texas Crude barely teetered above the $20 a barrel benchmark with Devon and Continental literally begging to be bought by a major oil company in the coming days.

You prolly won’t read that on the laser of truth known as the Daily Thunder because Clay Bennett doesn’t allow Royce Young to write things like this.

But my goodness….didn’t the Oklahomans do themselves well not only voting for Pussy Grabber in 2016, but doing it in all 77 counties of the great state of Oklahoma.

And here’s the thing…PG will win Oklahoma again in 2020 no matter how bad it gets.

I’ll stop there.

My, my, my.
